“Ozzy Road is a charismatic inner city church just a few minutes walk from Derby City Centre. Our vision is to be disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples.”
We are committed to preaching the Gospel in “ways that people will understand” and “stripping away” religious obstacles that so often become barriers between people and God. We worship in a passionate, honest and contemporary style,
which we believe connects with mature Christians, new converts and occasional visitors. Our style has been described at times as “raw” and “in your face” (and one well meaning soul once told the Pastor “.. I love your heavy metal worship!…”).
Our mission is focused on the City Centre of Derby and the multi-cultural area immediately around the Church building. We are truly a “city church”, working and living within an urban context. Our fellowship is made up of a very broad mixer of ages, social backgrounds and ethnic groups. We work in conjunction with the Derby Soup Run, to provide a nightly service to those in need from the surrounding streets, such as Hartington Street.
Ozzy Road operates a number of small groups during the week, such as Family Groups, Children’s groups and “Pray and Weigh”.
We work closely with other churches in Derby, through networks such as “City Vision” and “Derby City Centre Churches Fellowship”. We also have international links with India and Argentina.
We hold a monthly "Family Service" which aims to present worship and teaching that is accessible to all ages, click on the logo on the left hand side to find out more.
