Ozzy Road
Treasure Seekers – is a children’s club for 5-11 year olds and has run for a number of years. It has recently been re-launched with a new leadership team and a new focus. The aims of the club are to reach out to children and parents or carers primarily in the local area to share the gospel with them and to see them integrated into church and discipled. The children from church families who are involved are equipped and encouraged to share their faith and invite their friends along. The format of the club is similar each week with a time of lively worship, a teaching time and then a choice of craft, cookery or sport as a social activity and relationship building time. Treasure Seekers meets every Monday 5.30pm to 7.00pm at the church.
Sunday Morning groups – Ozzy Road also offers Children’s Work on Sunday mornings in a variety of groups, which cater for babies, through to those in their early teens. We have recently invested in complete refurbishments of our Children’s Rooms, please click on the thumbnails on the right to take a look.
Pray & Weigh – is an open group for anybody who wants to put God at the centre of their lives and seek his enabling to deal with their weight issues. The weekly meeting gives opportunities for worship, prayer exercise and a time to seek God in issues relating to self-acceptance, spiritual growth and health and weight matters. The group meets each Wednesday from 7.30 – 9.30 pm.
Football Team – Ozzy Road has it’s own Saturday Football team, who play in a local Christian League. The team acts as an outreach, as it is made up of both Christian and non-Christians. Although there is still work to be done on a “leaky defence”, the team has got stronger over the past two seasons and is renowned for it’s sportsmanship and grace!
Family Discos – We have run a number of “Family Discos”, as social occasions for all ages, to help build relationships within the fellowship and another opportunity to include non-Christian friends.
